Clay bar is used to remove
contamination embedded in the car's paint surface that cannot be removed by
washing, waxing and/or polishing. The contamination could be caused by brake
dust or tiny metal shavings from rail dust or industrial fallout and it is the
cause for the feeling of roughness on the paint surface. Clay bar can perform
deep-cleaning by pulling the contamination off the paint surface. This quality
clay bar is made in Japan.
Instruction: Always
use clay bar on freshly washed, clean surfaces and work on a small area at a
time. Do not use clay bar on dry surface, always work on wet surface. Spray
some lubricant on the area to be worked. Hold the clay bar in your hand and
rub it across the lubricated area in back and forth motion (not circular) with
light to moderate pressure. You can feel the difference of the clayed area with
your hand. If you still feel the roughness on the surface, rub the clay bar
across the same area until the surface is smooth. Lubricate surface as needed.
Wipe the clayed section with a clean dry towel. If the clay bar is soiled, simply
pull, stretch and fold to expose a new surface. Discard the clay bar if it's
totally soiled. It's a good idea to wash your car after using the clay bar to
remove any lubricant residue, followed by your favorite polish or wax.
